The 60,000- square-foot building will bring all GHS children’s program areas under one roof, including the Neurological Center for Excellence, Children’s Autism Center, and Child and Family Services. There were several speakers that were present to express their support. Among those speakers were: Congressman Dan Kildee; Flint Mayor Sheldon Neeley; Tim Herman, President of Uptown Reinvestment Corporation and CEO of the Flint & Genesee Group; Ridgway White, President, and CEO of the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation; William Winiarski, chair of the Greater Flint Mental Health Facilities Board; and Danis Russell, CEO of Genesee Health System.

This building was designed by HED and is being built by DWLurvey Construction.
