President
Tim Herman is the President of Uptown Reinvestment Corporation (URC) where he oversees the organization’s strategy development and execution. He also serves as the Chief Executive Officer for the Flint & Genesee Group, an organization focused on the economic success of Genesee County and its residents.
Prior to these roles, Herman served as President and CEO of the Genesee Area Focus Council, a business leadership group which would later merge with other local business organizations to become the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce. Along with his duties as head of the Focus Council, he was elected President of the Uptown Reinvestment Corporation (URC) in November 2001.
Herman was the Varsity Boys Head Basketball Coach at Luke M. Powers Catholic High School, compiling a record 120-34 over six seasons. His 2008-2009 team won the Class B State Championship.
A Flint native, Herman is a graduate of Powers Catholic High School and has a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Ferris State University. He and his wife, JoAnne, live in Flint and have four children.
