Project Description
The Mott Culinary school is a downtown extension for Mott Community College’s growing culinary program. Housed inside the former F.W. Woolworth Building, the facility will allow for the program to expand from 250 to 400 students. The building was constructed in the 1920s as a former retail space. Today it is home to Mott’s flagship culinary institute with a variety of culinary arts, baking, and meat-cutting kitchens. A fine dining restaurant is staffed by Mott’s culinary students Monday – Friday. Additionally, a ground-floor coffee shop is operated as well by the students to showcase baked items and provide short-order food service experience.
